La Embajada de Georgia en Argentina y la Universidad del CEMA realizó la proyección de la película "Mandarinas" de Zaza Urushadze.
El pasado 24 de septiembre de 2024, con la organización conjunta de la Embajada de Georgia en Argentina y la Universidad del CEMA se realizó la proyección de la película «Mandarinas» de Zaza Urushadze. La introducción a la película estuvo a cargo del crítico cinematográfico Pablo de Vita y el profesor José María Poirier. El embajador de Georgia en la República Argentina, Gvaram Khandamishvili, dio un discurso ante los asistentes.
En su discurso, el Embajador de Georgia, S.E. Gvaram Khandamishvili, agradeció a los organizadores del evento y a Ana Urushadze, hija del realizador Zaza Urushadze por su valioso apoyo en la proyección de la película. Asimismo, analizó etapas de la formación de Abjasia dentro del territorio de Georgia y subrayó que esta parte indivisible del país, siempre había sido la región más diversa y multiétnica. El Sr. Khandamishvili habló sobre la ocupación ilegal de las dos regiones georgianas (Abjasia y Tskhinvali/Osetia del Sur) y de la expulsión masiva de la población georgiana desde estas regiones. Fue subrayada la importancia del apoyo de Argentina y toda la comunidad internacional hacia la soberanía e integridad territorial de Georgia.
A la proyección asistieron representantes de diversas entidades argentinas, cuerpo diplomático y círculos académicos, así como estudiantes y público interesado en el arte cinematográfico. Tras la presentación, el vicerrector de la universidad, Antonio Marín, hizo entrega al embajador de un diploma conmemorativo en nombre de la Universidad del CEMA. Al finalizar el evento se realizó una recepción para los asistentes, coorganizada por la Universidad y la Embajada de Georgia.
On September 24, 2024, with the joint organization of the Georgian Embassy in Argentina and the CEMA University, the screening of the film «Mandarins» by Zaza Urushadze was held. The introduction to the film was given by film critic Pablo de Vita and professor José María Poirier. The ambassador of Georgia to the Argentine Republic, Gvaram Khandamishvili, gave a speech to the attendees.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Georgia, H.E. Gvaram Khandamishvili thanked the organizers of the event and Ana Urushadze, daughter of the director Zaza Urushadze for their valuable support in the screening of the film. Likewise, he analyzed stages of the formation of Abkhazia within the territory of Georgia and stressed that this indivisible part of the country had always been the most diverse and multiethnic region. Mr. Khandamishvili spoke about the illegal occupation of the two Georgian regions (Abkhazia and Tskhinvali/South Ossetia) and the mass expulsion of the Georgian population from these regions. The importance of the support of Argentina and the entire international community towards the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia was highlighted.
The screening was attended by representatives of various Argentine entities, the diplomatic corps and academic circles, as well as students and the public interested in cinematographic art. After the presentation, the vice-rector of the university, Antonio Marín, presented the ambassador with a commemorative diploma on behalf of the CEMA University. At the end of the event, a reception was held for attendees, co-organized by the University and the Embassy of Georgia.
